To train leaders who can make contributions to the practical resolution of global problems facing people living in various countries and regions in the world, as well as organizations including governments, companies, and NGOs, and to extend public and social benefits globally. In order to make this possible, IUJ offers a place to foster these leaders' professional knowledge and skills regarding politics, economics and management, and to help them achieve a deep understanding of and human respect for different cultures. MBA and E-Business Developing leaders, managers, and functional specialists with an understanding of and capability to respond to changing economic, technological, societal, and environmental developments and concerns is a high priority challenge for business and society. To this end, IUJ's MBA and E-Business curricula are designed to help students acquire both the "hard" and "soft" skills essential to becoming effective leaders in their chosen field. Our curriculum is based on 5 principles: (1) theory-based reasoning and analytical thinking, (2) practical relevance, (3) becoming an effective leader, (4) becoming an effective international team member, and (5) developing and leveraging networks. A carefully planned and executed thesis project under the supervision of a qualified faculty member is the capstone requirement of our two programs. Research and Education PLATFORM Under the current globalized business environment, it is crucial for business leaders to be equipped with the latest theories and best practices in management as well as skills and knowledge to work with governments and civil society organizations effectively. Thus IUJ provides a Research and Education PLATFORM (IUJ-REP), which allows students to be active researchers working closely with faculty and corporations or international organizations on issues vital to the global community. These issues range from such themes as Corporate Restructuring and Governance, to Market Evolution and Value Co-creation, to Disaster Recovery and CSR, and to Peace Building: the very diverse and essential global challenges we face. Broad Career Opportunities IUJ Business School graduates go on to exciting careers in Japan, Asia and far beyond. Finance, consulting, marketing/advertising and IT-related professions are popular choices for both our e-business and MA students, as are various roles in international organizations and development agencies |
