The faculty of business and Economics of the University of Lausanne (HEC) is one of the most prestigious business school in Switzerland and in Europe. The ranking of the University of Dallas Texas places HEC Lausanne at the first place in Switzerland, 8th place in Europe and 102nd worldwide.

With more than a century of history, this faculty kept a tradition of excellence. Leon Walras had the first economics chair in 1870, followed by Wilfrido Pareto until 1909. Today, HEC counts a number of world class faculties with approximately 21% foreign undergraduates and more than 50% foreign postgraduates, PhD and faculties.
