Webster University is an American University with a global perspective. The university was founded in St. Louis, Missouri, USA in 1915. Since then, Webster has grown to become an international university with more than 100 campuses in 7 countries on 3 continents, serving over 20,000 students worldwide. Our alumni network has more than 130,000 members all around the world.
The Webster Vienna campus was established 1981. Webster Vienna is the only dually accredited university in Austria, with both, the US Higher Learning Commission accreditation, and private university accreditation from the Austrian Ministry of Education. The business programs are also accredited by FIBAA and ACBSP.
Student Centered Education
Our mission is to serve an international student body by providing an education that will help you develop the skills, attitudes and habits necessary to thrive and grow in our rapidly changing global society. The focus is on the individual student. Class size is limited to 20 – 25 students. Our academically qualified professors bring real life experience and the latest knowledge into the class room, making education practical and relevant.
Undergraduate majors are offered in: Art and Visual Culture, Business and Management, Information Technology, International Relations, Media Communications, and Psychology.
Master’s and MBA degrees are available in: Finance, Human Resources Management, International Business, International Relations, and Marketing.
Flexibility
Webster University Vienna offers five starting points per year, and you can pace your studies according to your personal and professional needs. You can choose between full time or part time studies and can even take a term off if necessary. Graduate classes are held in the evening, making it possible to balance your studies with your professional career. Online courses are available as well, and payment is on a course-by-course basis.
Campus life
The modern Vienna campus is situated on the banks of the Danube River and the beautiful Danube Island recreation area, where you can enjoy water sports, bicycling, inline skating, etc. From the city center the campus is only 20 minutes by public transportation. Optional student housing is available in fully furnished off-campus student dormitories. The Student Council and Student Affairs organize activities on regular bases. Webster students also publish Vienna’s major English language newspaper “The Vienna Review.”
