The Goethe Business School aims at forming and furthering the education of future business leaders, enabling them to grow personally, and to serve their company and society at large. The school is conscious of its mandate to satisfy the highest demands in education, technology, performance orientation, and internationality to prepare managers for their myriad tasks both within their firm and across boundaries. Founded in 2004, Goethe Business School (GBS) is the center for management education of Goethe University Frankfurt. GBS offers high-quality executive education programs for working professionals from around the world, combining highest standards of academic rigor with hands - on applicability to "real-word" issues. Goethe Business School is a foundation of Frankfurt University with close links to the department of Economics and Business Administration. Its flagship-program is the Duke Goethe Executive MBA, started in May 2005 in cooperation with the Fuqua School of Business (Duke University, USA). In addition, GBS offers various open enrollment and customized corporate educational programs. The program motto “Two continents, two schools, two degrees – one program” underlines the claim of both schools to teach students world-wide acknowledged business practices and to provide its graduates with a broad and diverse network of contacts with alumni and business representatives. Through this approach, Goethe Business School fosters a great degree of diversity, which serves as a basis for professional, intellectual and personal growth.
Another fixture in the Goethe Business School portfolio is the Executive Master of Finance and Accounting (EMFA) part-time program. The EMFA was conceptualized and organized jointly with KPMG as an in-house program. Beginning in September of 2007, the program opens its doors to other qualified professionals in the finance community.
