As a West Saxon centre of industry and trade, and particularly as an important location in the automobile industry, Zwickau has enjoyed a long tradition as a home of technological education where highly qualified industrial specialists are produced.
The University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau continues this tradition in education and research.
