Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites as well as global management of suppliers.
Challenges
As Sourcing Project Manager you will be responsible for device and packaging strategic sourcing activities within R&D development projects. You will act as project manager for dedicated R&D development projects from a sourcing perspective and be single point of contact towards all stakeholders. Furthermore, you will ensure timely involvement of the categories in Strategic Sourcing. This means that you will together with colleagues from Strategic Sourcing and stakeholders in Novo Nordisk work on optimizing the selection of suppliers early stage in the pipeline of new device and packaging products in Novo Nordisk. Cross organizational work is an everyday prerequisite for meeting sourcing related challenges, together with being able to confidently drive projects and assure execution. Strategic sourcing of devices and packaging within R&D development projects is one of our strategic focus areas. Hence, there will be a possibility to influence and set the direction for the way we operate within this area.
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a background as Engineering, Master in Business, Graduate Diploma in Business or equivalent educational level. Preferably 5 years of relevant work experience in strategic sourcing within an R&D function. You must be fluent in English (both written and oral).
The job requires you to create a broad range of contacts in Novo Nordisk as well as with supplier’s world wide. You must therefore be good at communication, be capable of working in a complex and dynamic organization, be able to make an impact and to retain focus. Engagement and a positive attitude, demonstrated by good cooperation skills, are further required.
